After an exciting post-doc year in Uppsala where I worked on Beaver dams, fire-affected streams, and macrophyte-invaded lakes, I have now moved north and all the way downstream to the sea.
These will be exciting three years applying great ecological theories to an incredible database. How have the fish communities in the Arctic changed in the past ten years due to warming waters? Is fish functional composition affected by a changing climate? Are the invading Atlantic fish communities replacing the Arctic fish species or also changing the community function in the ecosystem?
I am looking forward to answering these and many other urgent questions on how climate and human activites are affecting biodiversity and ecosystem functioning in the Arctic!
